Blades of Sympathy is a relic in Wizard of Legend.
Description[edit | edit source]
Regenerate a small amount of health after taking damage by quickly attacking foes. Blades of Sympathy's active effect lasts for 1.25 seconds after taking damage from an enemy. During this window of time, each of the Player's attacks will heal for 10% of that attack's total damage. However, this healing caps at 20% of the initial enemy damage taken (i.e., the initial hit which activated
Blades of Sympathy).
Strategies[edit | edit source]
Blades of Sympathy works well for builds that like to get up close, working as a sort of insurance against attacks from enemies. In addition, using Arcana which deal large initial bursts of damage will result in maxing out the healing received from
Blades of Sympathy faster, making better use of the retribution window.
Item combos[edit | edit source]
Sano's Headband – Prevents hit-stun, allowing uninterrupted casting of Arcana when taking damage, allowing for better use of the retribution window.
Messy Prescription /
Spirit – Both increase the amount of healing (per Player attack) received from
Blades of Sympathy (i.e., the 20% healing cap will be reached more quickly).

Additional notes[edit | edit source]
- This relic is a reference to Bloodborne:
- In Bloodborne, there exists a weapon called the Blade of Mercy, which is similar in both name and appearance to
Blades of Sympathy.
- In addition,
Blades of Sympathy's effect (i.e., regaining health by attacking after taking damage) is similar to the Rally mechanic in Bloodborne.
