The enemies encountered in the Chaos Trials are summons of the council member in charge of that section of the castle. Each enemy may be non-elemental or mirror the element and personality of the council member who summoned it.
Basic enemies[edit | edit source]

Variants[edit | edit source]
Most enemies have 3 variations: normal, enhanced, and chaos. The variations are visually distinct from one another.
Enhanced variants start to appear after beating the first council member in a run, have a bit of a green tint to them (not to be confused with earth enemies), have purplish eyes and come with an extra ability. Chaos enemies start to appear after beating the second council member, and are colored purple with enhanced abilities and stats.
Archers, Knights, Mages, and Rogues have 4 additional variations: earth, water, air, and fire. They only appear in their respective elemental floors, appearing more frequently on later floors. These enemies have special attacks that reflect their element. Each elemental variants are also ranked based on how many council members have been beaten; while they are not visually distinct among one another, higher variants have more attacks.
Mini-bosses[edit | edit source]
Mini-bosses appear at the end of the first two levels of every dungeon section. They will be accompanied by an amount of basic enemies based on how many enemies have been killed on the current floor, with more spawning if fewer enemies were killed.
Council of Magic[edit | edit source]
The Council members serve as the main bosses. With the exception of Sura, they are encountered on the third level of each dungeon section and serve as that section's final boss. They are more difficult to fight the later in the run they are encountered. Sura is encountered after beating three sections, and serves as the final boss of the game.
