Shock Nova is a Standard Lightning Arcana in Wizard of Legend

Description[edit | edit source]

Hold the attack button to charge up a circle of lightning as denoted by the magic circle. When button is released a spoked circle of lighting streams is created around the player that deals 3 hits of 10 damage with each hit also applying level 2 shock. When fully charged the circle of lightning deals 5 hits of 10 damage and applies level 3 shock.

If enhanced, the circle of lighting cover a larger radius and takes less time to reach full charge

Charged Signature: Create four overlapping circles of lightning over an extremely large area which deal 10 hits of 10 damage and applying level 5 shock.

Strategies[edit | edit source]

This arcana is notable for its offensive capabilities due to its massive range and good damage. However, because it is a charge arcana, the player must be aware when a good time is to charge; even when not fully charged, this arcana retains its excellent range.

Use this arcana after foes are stunned from other arcana to maximize the amount of time the player can safely charge, then follow-up while foes are suffering shock. Alternatively, take advantage of this arcana's wall-piercing properties and charge it up around a corner while allowing foes to approach you, then release it once they have direct line of sight to the player as most foes will not attempt to attack until then.

The charged Signature version can be held beforehand but will not affect the arcana in any way. Its incredible range and instantaneous cast can even clear rooms through walls.

Additional notes[edit | edit source]

  • Note the cooldown begins as soon as the cast key is pressed. If held for long enough, it is possible to cast this arcana twice in quick succession.
  • The shock applies by each hit is overridden by the shock from the next hit causing it to deal only 1 tick of 2 damage. The shock from the final hit deals full damage as it is not cut short.
