Crashing Meteor is a Standard Fire Arcana in Wizard of Legend

Description[ | ]

Element: Fire Type: Standard/Signature Subtypes: None

Upon casting, a magic circle is drawn on the floor. After a delay of ~1.5s a meteor strikes the circle, dealing 75 damage and stunning all enemies in the circle.

If enhanced, a rapid shower of 10 small meteors which each deal 4 damage is called down immediately before the main meteor falls, now dealing 60 damage.

Charged Signature: Call down an enormous shower from above, consisting of ~10-20 large meteors and countless smaller meteors, covering a massive area and lasting for ~3s.

Strategies[ | ]

Prioritise aiming the meteor at tightly packed enemies to deal the most damage.

When comboing bosses, Crashing Meteor should be cast close to the start so the meteor will fall while you are casting other arcana. However don't use it as the first attack to stun bosses, especially council members as boss may recover before the meteor hits.

The enhanced version massively improves Crashing Meteor's effectiveness since the smaller meteors will hitsun enemies, guaranteeing that the large meteor will hit them. It even deals more overall damage than the unenhanced version.

The charged Signature covers an extremely large area and deals many hits, allowing it to completely lock down an entire room of enemies. However it is rather unreliable at single target damage due to the random placement of the large meteors but it is practically guaranteed to deal some damage due to its massive area.

Due to the long duration of the charged signature, builds that quickly charge signatures (Fury Fury, Perfect Time Crystal Perfect Time Crystal, Tattered Scroll Tattered Scroll) can charge a new signature before the previous one ends, allowing you to continue the shower endlessly.

Spell combos[ | ]

  • Casting this directly before Dragon Blast Dragon Blast will cancel the knockback of crashing meteor, allowing for a third spell in the combo.
  • Due to the long delay, consider using arcana that freeze, root or otherwise immobilise enemies such as Water Prison Water Prison or Grasping Earth Grasping Earth to prevent enemies from moving out of the blast radius before the meteor falls.
  • Arcana that have strong forwards knockback (e.g. Spiraling Typhoon Spiraling Typhoon, Rushing Typhoon Rushing Typhoon, Radiant Knockout Radiant Knockout) can push enemies into range of Crashing Meteor, allowing you to cast it immediately after them, without needing to move.
